March is a slower shopping month for sales. Being in-between seasons and without big holidays, there aren’t too many deals to be found this month. But there are still ways to save money.
Between knowing what to buy and using Goodshop offers, you’ll still have plenty of cash leftover. We’ve listed what you should and shouldn’t be purchasing this month.
Stock up on chocolate
Valentine’s Day is well behind us but sales are still going for chocolate. You can find discounts on candy ranging from 75 up to 90% at stores like Target and Walmart or gourmet chocolatiers like Godiva and Lindt.
…and for St. Patrick’s Day
You may not think of St. Patrick’s Day as a big shopping holiday. But many retailers will have discounts on St. Patrick’s Day essentials in the days leading up to March 17. As with any holiday, the longer you wait to shop, the better.
Spring hasn’t sprung
March 20 is the first day of spring but you’ll probably want to wait before shopping for seasonal apparel. New inventory and seasonal clothing tends to cost the most when it first hits shelves. You probably won’t find discounts on this seasons trends until May.
Save on winter sporting gear
March is the beginning of discount season for winter sporting gear, like ski and snowboard equipment. You can buy last season’s styles for a fraction of the price as stores try to sell out old inventory and clear shelves. Although prices may fall further into the year, you’ll want to shop now while there are plenty of choices. Bonus: ski resort prices are also at a low right now!
