Spring may have officially arrived but the weather is saying otherwise. One day it’s a balmy 60 degrees and sunny, the next there’s a snowstorm. And layer sometimes that’s in the same day!
But your style doesn’t need to be held hostage to unpredictable weather. We’ve got some tips and tricks to help you get dresses everyday until those warm summer days.
Bright Colors
Spring may mean bright and warm colors but the weather may be stopping you from busting out the hot pink sundress right away. Instead wear bright colors in small doses. A pastel scarf or cherry red handbag (or both) will match the slow but steady march into spring.
Layer, Layer, Layer
Layers are your best friend in this finicky time. But make sure you layer both smart and creatively. Make sure to check the weather for the entire day to see how many layer you should wear. You can also switch out heavier layer for lighter knits.
Also go for unexpected layering choices, like a thin cardigan under a blazer if it’s too chilly for just a jacket and shirt.
Colorful Kicks
Put a spring in your step with colorful footwear. Vibrant shades like emerald, cherry red or cobalt blue introduce a necessary pop of color to the gloomy days. Dark pants or skirts will help balance the look out.
Covered Up Legs
Tights and leggings are your transitional wardrobe’s best friend! They’ll keep your stems nice and warm if you’re wearing a dress or skirt, and can easily be removed if the temperature suddenly decide it’s summer.
