Black Friday? Cyber Monday? Giving Tuesday? You’ve probably heard of at least one of these. But what do they all mean?
The shopping holidays season is fast approaching which means practically every store is pushing their lowest prices and giving shoppers the best deals for all their shopping holidays needs. This means a variety of “holiday” shopping days, starting the Friday after Thanksgiving and going through the following week.
Here at Goodshop, we know a thing or two about shopping holidays and finding the best deals out there. So we’ve broken down all the shopping holidays you need to know about and are here to help you find the best deals out there.
Black Friday
Possibly the most well-known and one of the biggest shopping days of the year, Black Friday falls on the Friday after Thanksgiving. Many stores and retailers, such as Sears and Kmart, offer shoppers in-store only discounts that start ridiculously early (sometimes even the night of Thanksgiving), which is why everyone gets in line to wait before their turkey coma can kick in. (Some stores are countering the craziness though by closing their stores on Black Friday, such as R.E.I.)
Small Business Saturday
The Saturday after Thanksgiving is devoted to small businesses, to counteract Black Friday and Cyber Monday which typically feature big box retail and e-commerce stores. This is a great way to get to know your local mom-and-dad shops, support local business, find some truly unique gifts AND keep this holiday going strong (it’s only six years old!)
Goodshop Sunday
Goodshop Sunday is the triple threat of giving back – you can give gifts to your loved ones, give back to causes you care about and give your wallet a break. Taking place Sunday Nov. 27 (as well as every Sunday leading up to), donations to charities and causes are increased (sometimes even doubled) when you shop using Goodshop coupons. To get these coupons even faster and donate even easier, adding Goodshop Fetch delivers the coupons to whichever page you’re shopping on.
Cyber Monday
Online shoppers, this holiday is just for you. If you don’t want to deal with crowds, lines or mad rushes to save money these online-only deals will let you get some great gifts for everyone on your list. As always, Goodshop will have some of the best deals and coupons out there. So you can shop, donate to a favorite cause and watch some cute kitten videos all from the comfort of your couch.
Giving Tuesday
By the Tuesday after Thanksgiving maybe you’re shopped out. But we can’t forget about giving back to those in need. Charities benefit the most this time of year. So #GivingTuesday, a global day celebrating and supporting giving and philanthropy, aims to connect individuals and organizations to encourage giving back to those who need it. Since Goodshop makes it so easy to donate (while shopping no less), there’s no excuse to not give back to those in need.
Now you can get to shopping, saving and giving back just in time for the holidays!
