k-8 Robotics for Flagstaff Academy

Robots Rule!! We are a pre-k through 8 school. Our PTO was kind enough to purchase a couple of VEXiq robotics kits and we fielded a couple of teams. We went to tournaments and did great. Unfortunately we do not have enough equipment to handle the interest coming from the many more students that want to participate. The interested students are good kids who recognize how important teamwork and robotics are, so we want to make robotics (teams and equipment) available to more students. To do this we need more materials. Money that we collect will be used to purchase more VEXiq robotics kits. I love teaching robotics as much as the students love and desire to be on these teams. Almost all of our students who take robotics at our k-8 school go on to high school robotics (locally we have a high school team that came in second in the world) and the high school students head off to college continuing their passion. We have high schoolers going to Carnegie Mellon, Georgia Tech, MIT, Harvey Mudd, etc. These are not wealthy students, many of them have received scholarship due to being on a robotics team. We would like to keep our feeder system strong, and acquiring more kits will allow us to run more teams. The interest is high, the available funds are not, unfortunately. It would be great to receive funds asap, but whenever if and it it happens we will be very greatful.
